Meta and Génération Numérique Launch a Call for Applications for Creators to Democratize Generative AI


   Meta is partnering with Génération Numérique, an association specializing in issues related to digital uses and media education, to launch an awareness campaign on generative artificial intelligence. This initiative will take the form of short educational videos produced by content creators in a logic of scientific and technological popularization. The latter will be selected through a call for applications, launched today.

At stake, two winners will benefit from support consisting of a sponsorship of expertise and financial support for the production of these videos.

The two winners will produce and distribute respectively 5 videos that will focus on the following themes:

  • Generative artificial intelligence and its operation
  • Use cases of generative artificial intelligence
  • Best practices for using it
  • The limits of technology
  • Information and content in the age of generative artificial intelligence  At the end of their production, the videos will be distributed by the creators as well as by the Génération Numérique association on Instagram and Facebook, on a non-exclusive basis.

The winners will be selected by a jury of experts composed of Cyril di Palma, general delegate of the Génération Numérique association, Jules comme César, content creator, co-founder of Crayon média, Benoît Bergeret, executive director of the Metalab for Data Technology and Society of ESSEC, and co-founder of Hub France IA and Roxana Rugina, Executive Director of Impact AI.

The selection criteria will be based on the relevance, educational quality and creativity of the proposals made by the candidates. This campaign will also revolve around the production of an awareness guide produced by Génération Numérique.

Content creators have until April 21, 2024 midnight to apply on the association's website.

Involving content creators to democratize these new technologies will make it possible to give the keys to the general public so that they can grasp all the opportunities.” For Cyril De Palma, general delegate of the Génération Numérique association: “The development of many generative AIs available to the general public generates many questions that Génération Numérique faces daily in the context of its education and awareness actions: the participation of content creators will contribute to a better understanding of the issues and risks, their capabilities and their limits.”
